Katrina Schmidt, PT, DPT, Cert MDT
I am a wife and mother, who has lived in Nazareth, Pennsylvania for 20 years.
I have been a physical therapist for 24 years.
I graduated from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York in 1999 with a Master of Professional Studies in Physical Therapy.
I completed my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Temple University in 2005.
In 2007, I became credentialed in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (The McKenzie Method).
I have worked in traditional, outpatient physical therapy since 2002. In those years, I have had to juggle treating 2 to 3 patients each hour. I've always felt that I could never give my patients all the attention they deserved. (Maybe you have had traditional physical therapy and felt the same!) I've decided to make a change. The new model: one patient, one therapist, for one hour. I perform a detailed exam, in which I actually listen to your history, onset, and symptoms. Then, I will perform a physical exam to determine a mechanical diagnosis and prescribe specific exercises for you.
Each visit thereafter will also be 1:1, this way I can continually assess the effect of the prescribed exercises on your symptoms.
Get you back to pain free function, and educate you in understanding your problem so you can then manage it on your own and remain pain free.
